Alana Anderson Consulting operates on land that is the traditional territory of the Massachusett and Pawtucket tribes, which is home to descendants of these peoples. 

While land acknowledgments are one way to reflect upon how we continue to contribute to various forms of historical and present oppression, it is necessary to go further and support the Land Back Movement. 

To truly dismantle white supremacy and systems of oppression, we must address it at the root. All systems that uphold white supremacy were built on stolen land by stolen people. This is why I support putting Indigenous lands back in Indigenous hands.  

The call for Land Back can mean the literal restoration of land ownership, stewardship and protection of the earth, and honoring the self-governing agreements of the Original People. Most importantly, it’s about connecting with the land in meaningful ways.
